Jay Goss is a full-time equestrian sports and equine portrait photographer. Since 1988 he has served as official photographer to some of the Northwest’s largest horse shows, including the Arabian Region 4 and Region 5 Championships, the Evergreen Classic and numerous other hunter/jumper shows, the Key Classic and PNW Morgan shows, and the Peruvian Paso Northwest Regional Championships.
Outside the showring, Jay does a great deal of farm work, photographing breeding and show stock for private clients. His work has been published in several books, and is frequently published in many of the major breed and equestrian journals. He is a knowledgeable horseman himself, having trained and shown horses professionally in his youth.
Jay provides a wide variety of other photographic services, including commercial product photography, real estate, senior and family portraits, and weddings. He has also led and instructed professional photography seminars.
Jay’s wife, Connie, runs the “digital darkroom,” providing digital printing, scanning, expert photo retouching and restoration, image preparation for the web, and graphics services. She also wrote and maintains this website.
Jay is also a terrific auctioneer. Contact him next time your club needs to hold a fundraiser!
